Hello, and welcome to Jay’e Jones’ Strata Tattoo Lab!
Strata Tattoo Lab was established in July 2004 by Cameron Fuhrer. In March of 2008, long-time resident artist Jay’e Jones purchased the business and became sole owner.
Strata features a notable award-winning and published tattoo artist line up: Artist and Owner- Jay’e Jones, Julie Niznik, Tonya Van Parys, Kei Bjork, and Ken Lightcap. Strata is also a hot spot for talent from all around the world, so keep an eye out for rotating guest artists, visiting from all continents!
Here at Strata we are artists FIRST, all working in multiple mediums of art- so don’t be surprised to see a ton of artwork on the walls when you walk through our doors.
Strata has a wide range of clientele, everyone from ‘my-first-tattoo’ to the tattoo collector. People from all professions and walks of life feel comfortable here at Strata. Occasionally, you may even walk in and witness us tattooing a rock star or two. It happens more often than you’d think!
Once you step into Strata Tattoo Lab, be prepared for a full-sensory experience. Our walls are NOT filled with tattoo flash, being that we are a CUSTOM ONLY TATTOO STUDIO. Instead, our shop decor consists of original artwork; paintings, drawings, and sculptures from our artists, family, locals, and friends. We are all about the art, NOT “lick ‘em, stick ‘em, and send ‘em out the door”.
Strata is exceptionally clean, tidy, and fully certified by the county and state, a testament to our above-and-beyond training and expectations regarding sterilization and cleanliness. Feel free to ask our friendly and knowledgeable staff absolutely anything. No egos here, just fun-loving, polite, and passionate artists!
If you’re a local here in the Hi-Desert, you may have seen us participating in one community event or another. We strive to stay as involved and charitable as possible for the community that we love. We have sponsored countless sports teams- T-Ball, baseball, soccer, volleyball, football, cheerleading, softball, and more! We also donate to establishments such as elementary and high schools, beauty schools, community college programs, LGBT charities, gay pride, humane society chapters, the local animal action league, desert, park, and climber charities, Boys’ and Girls’ Club, after school programs and many, many more!
